Pickled turnips go great with sandwiches, salads, or as an appetizer. Turnips and beets also contain many health benefits including vitamin C and iron. But not only are they nutritious they look and taste great. Total Time: 15 minutes Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 0 minutes Yield: 4-6 Level: Easy Ingredients 6 peeled Turnips 3 peeled Beets 2 cups white vinegar 6 tsp salt 2 cup water 1/4 cup sliced garlic 1 sliced jalapeno Directions Peel and slice the turnips and beets. In a large bowl add the water, vinegar and salt and stir well. Using a jar or plastic container, alternate the layers of turnips, beets, garlic and jalapenos, repeat to until the container is full. Pour in the vinegar mix to the brim of the container, Gently shake jar to get the color of the beets flowing. Seal and store the container in the refrigerator for 10 days to 2 weeks.

I had sum wonderful pickled turnips at a Mediterrean Restaurant by my job the other day. They were a decoration on an order of Baba Goooge. They were AWESOME! They were a bit sweet, not overly sweet, just mildly sweet enough to taste. Can u add a bit of sugar to the recipe?
