How many grams/cups are in one serving size of ghallaba? I'm just curious because in every web page they state that 1 serving size can range between 330 to 560 calories, but really...what is the serving size amount to. I can't find it... is it serving size of 1 cup, 2, 3, etc. It would be nice to know. By the way, thank you for posting this video. This is one of my favorite dishes. So addictive. :)

@Jenshenanigan yes you can definitely replace the mushrooms with squash. Yes mushrooms are authentic to this dish BUT squash is a vegetable that is used often in Mediterranean cooking so replacing the mushrooms will be ok and will not detrimentally affect the authenticity of this dish :)
By: dedemed
@precioushappiness it's plain tomato sauce and is also called tomato puree, so whatever you call it, that's what you should use.
By: dedemed
LOVE this dish Dede! Healthy, easy, short preparation and cooking time... It's perfect! Do you think substituting squash for the mushrooms would be okay? Are there certain traditional veggies that are found in this dish? I like to keep it authentic, at least until I get brave.
