This dish combines a wonderful grain of bulgar and combines it with tomatoes and ground beef. You can even omit the ground beef to make it vegetarian style and it still has wonderful flavor. This is a hearty dish and it provides fiber and nutrients with every bite. It is traditionally served with Greek yogurt or salad and pita bread. NOTE: TO MAKE THIS VEGETARIAN JUST OMIT THE GROUND BEEF Ingredients 1 lb lean ground beef (optional) 2 cups chopped onions 1 cup bulgar #2 1 15-16 oz can plain tomato sauce 2 cups water 1 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp black pepper 2 tbs olive oil 3 tbs butter Parsley, green onion and green pepper for garnish. Next add tomato sauce, water, salt and black pepper and stir until well combined. Turn heat to medium-low, add butter on top and cover pot, cook for 20 minutes, stir every 5-10 minutes. Hi there from New Zealand! Over here, we have Tomato Sauce which is a similar type product to Ketchup, so I just wanted to clarify if it is that kind of Tomato Sauce you use, or is it just a plain Tomato Sauce that you would use with Pasta? Thanks!
