On medium/low heat melt the butter in a 3 or 4 quart pot, add the onions and saute until lightly brown and caramelized. Then add the noodles and cook until lightly brown, continue to mix to avoid burning them. Next, mix in the burgul then add the 4 cups of water, give it a stir and then add the salt, cinnamon and boullion then bring to a light boil. Bring down the heat to low and cover and let cook for 30-40 minutes or until the burgul is tender. Fluff with a fork garnish with parsley and serve with yogurt, chicken or salad.
you spelled this "burgul" as "burgle" in last resipi. what is burgul or burgle?

Hi Dede,
Instead of the boullion which tends to have a lot of artificial ingredients, can I use chicken broth in place of the boullion and water?

Well sweet cream butter is very similar and more readily available. Arabic butter cannot be found everywhere.

Well, if you have a rotisserie then you can use that but if not you can cook the chicken in a oven pan, about 2 inches deep. You want to wach the whole chicken
with the skin on and then season it with the following,
1/2 tsp salt,
1/2 tsp black pepper,
1 tsp paprika,
1/2 tsp cinnamon,
3 cloves or minced garlic,
1/4 cup lemon juice,
and 1/4 cup olive oil.
Cover the chicken with the seasoning mix and then let it cook in the pan an cover it with aluminum foil for about 40
minutes at 400 degrees, then uncover and cook for another 20 minutes or until the skin is crispy. Then enjoy.
